Greenfields Cattery is run by the mother/ daughter partnership of Beryl and Kerry Wilson.
Animals are our way of life not just our job! We have always had a multi-cat household and been lifelong lovers of animals of all sorts.
We moved to our Markyate smallholding in 1978 to pursue further this passion for animals.
The cattery was already established 2 years before and we have expanded and improved it over the years and it now has 38 pens and is licensed to take 50 cats.
As well as running the Cattery, we bred for many years, Pedigree British Shorthair cats…
Our dogs are the only dogs here, but they are ‘cat friendly’ too!
Kerry has a small but highly regarded and successful stud of Arabian Horses- also founded in 1978..
..and also breeds and shows pure bred poultry, specialising in beautiful Wyandotte Bantams
Other animals on the smallholding have included rare breed Shetland Sheep and British White Cattle
